Sofiya
The province of Sofiya is a region as well as Grad Sofiya the capital. In fact this province sometimes referred to as Sofia province borders three sides of the city of Grad Sofiya (Sofia).
The land in the province of Sofiya is mainly mountainous and to the south is the Rila mountains and to the north are the southern slopes of the Balkan mountains. There are lots of other smaller mountains and spacious valleys in the area. Borovets, which is an impressive ski resort is also located in the area of the province of Sofiya near to Samokov.
