Smolyan
Located in southern Bulgaria is Smolyan province which is situated in the Rhodope mountains and borders Greece. In recent years tourism has grown in this area especially in winter due to the renovation and modernisation of the ski resorts of Chepelare and Pamporovo.
Tourists flock to Devin and Bede because of the mineral springs and the impressive gorges, caves, rock bridges and beautiful unspoilt nature areas. Campers and fisherman enjoy their holidays unwinding next to the numerous dams in the region of Smolyan.
