Shumen
Shumena province is located in north eastern Bulgaria and the city of Shumen which is famous for the momument dedicated to 1300 years of Bulgarian history is 80 km west of Varna. Other places of interest are the Tombul Mosque, Shumen fortress and the Shumen Plato National park.
Transport links to Shumen are good with it being on the main route between Varna and Sofia and it is also connected with Istanbul which serves the large Turkish community in the area.
