Ruse
Ruse (or Rousse) province is located in northern Bulgaria next to Romania and the Danube. The region has many pretty villages which are ideal for a quiet escape while the city of Ruse is buzzing with a vibrant cafe culture with many saying it is like a smaller Vienna or Prague.
The picture above is of the Rousse-Giurgiu Friendship Bridge which is the only bridge over the Danube in Bulgaria.
