Plovdiv
Plovdiv province is located in central southern Bulgaria and is a lovely area. There are many mineral springs, dams, spa resorts and beautiful natural landmarks including the highest waterall in the Balkans - Raysko Praskalo. There are also some nice locations in the Central Balkan National Park.
The town of Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria with a population of 350,000 and lies along the river bank of the Maritza and the various beautiful hills known locally as 'tepe'.
