Gabrovo
The region of Gabrovo is situated in the northern area of Bulgaria besides the River Yantra and has become an attractive toursist area probably because of the clean mountain air, historical and ethnographical complexes. The area of Gabrovo is recognised to be one of the most ecologically clean parts of Bulgaria with the rich flora and fauna standing as testiment to this. It is a well known area for hunting red deer, bear and mouflon in the game reserves.
Gabrovo is close to Veliko Tarnovo approximately 220 km from the city of Sofia, and close by is the mountain range of Ouzana. Ouzana is a suitable place for your winter and summer holidays and activities include mountain climbing, horse riding and skiing.
